Drawings made with monochrome lines keep their charm at any size, large or small. Simple illustrations that use empty space well make any room feel at ease. I'm based in Sapporo, and always happy to hear from projects in Hokkaido — but I'll travel anywhere I'm called.

I love books. Cover art, illustrations, magazines — I'd be glad to help make a book that lasts. I'm good at carrying a strong message in a simple picture, and I'm currently working on picture books of my own.

Animation & Film
Monochrome drawings work beautifully in motion too. I make hand-drawn animation in Procreate as well as live-action stop-motion, always expanding what I can do. Selected for Japan's "100 Film Makers" in 2022.

Process
- 1Meeting
Tell me about your project in person or online. I'll sketch a rough idea on the spot, and we'll align on the image, schedule, and budget together.
- 2Quote
The fee depends on how the work will be used — the medium, the period, the scope. I can adjust to fit your budget, so please feel free to ask.
- 3Rough Sketch
You'll see one or more rough sketches, so we can check together that the direction feels right.
- 4Final Art & Delivery
I ink the final drawing on paper, then scan it and retouch or color it digitally. I can also deliver files ready for further design work — monochrome art converted to vector paths, or separated into layered files. Flat artwork is usually delivered as AI or PSD; video work as video or GIF files.
Rates are based on ¥10,000 for one postcard-sized illustration, adjusted for size, quantity, scope of use, and production time. I can also work backward from your budget to adjust the scope, so please feel free to start the conversation.
